  Editing material from Sony HVR-HD1000u

  Got footage from a Sony HVR-HD1000u and I am trying to downconvert using the Ilink cable. Video goes into my edit system with lines in it. Any idea?? What would be the best way to input this material? I am using a Premiere Pro 2.0 but can upgrade to CS3. Any info appreciated.
