  APP2.0 Editing Camtasia Studio AVI – Loss of Clarity in final AVI

  I have been really frustrated with trying to maintain the quality of the Camtasia Studio Pro DV/AVI after editing inside of Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0.

  The AVI from Camtasia is crystal clear.. and the letters/lines from the screen capture are perfect. I bring that AVI into Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 to edit in other music, graphis and images. In my APP2.0 preview window the video is still crisp. When I export my AVI all APP2.0 images/graphics are crisp but everything from the Camtasia Studio AVI is fuzzy or very soft as far as screen characters are concerned.

  This is what I’ve tried.

  Tried to keep the same dimensions across the board. Limit the capture area to 720 x 480, export the video using those dimensions. Import it into Adobe and export it again. Video still looks horrible.

  How can I maintain the clarity of the Camtasia AVI after going through APP2.0 so that I’m not forced to try and do all my editing in Camtasia just to preserve the crisp video?

  This is my first time working with this so please provide me with as much detail as you possibly can on how to work around this problem.
