You could easily do it if you draw a circle using the elliptical mask tool, add a vertex using the Add Vertex tool as near as possible to another existing vertex then select both vertex, right click and uncheck “Closed”.

Huh? AE 7.0 does not give me that check box after a right click.

March 16, 2006 at 7:40 pmDid you try selecting the segment of the path between two vertices? If right-clicking won’t do it, go to the layer>mask menu after selecting.

March 16, 2006 at 8:19 pmmight take a little while because you have to do it PER LETTER but if you lay the text out using 3d assistants lite….with the cylinder….and spin it with a null… it’ll be closer than setting the text to a path.
