    Hi,

Apologies if this has been answered before or if it’s totally naive.
We want to capture tape based DVCpro HD footage from a Panasonic HDX 400 camera via a firewire cable to APP at 1080p25 resolution, I basically want to know if this is possible or what the pitfalls are.

I’ve been scouring the forums for info and am I right in thinking that APP can’t do this at 1080p25 without add on software Eg Raylight Decoder Pro?

Would we be better off using Final cut which we also have available? Am I correct in thinking that it is all possible in final cut?

Many thanks in advance for any help clearing this one up,

    JR

    Hello sir,

I am from India and I want to purchase a camera with a minimum resolution of 1920*1080 which has a firewire cable option to capture the content into a MAC machine which has a FINAL CUT PRO editing software. Hope to get an answer soon.

    Thank you

Robby, your post has nothing to do with Premiere Pro nor DVCPro. I’m not sure why you’re posting in this thread or this forum. 😮

    Cheers
    Eddie
