  Source Channel Mappings greyed out

  Hello all,

  I recently filmed a speaker and the camera recorded the sound as Mono as far as I can see, there’s only sound on one half of the track. However, stereo effects can be applied to it and when I go to the source channel mappings to map mono to stereo, it’s totally greyed out and won’t let me do anything. Any ideas or workarounds?

  If I get it correctly, you have left and right channels on your track but only one of them has the audio…

  If so, try FILL effect…

  Highlight your clip in the timeline and drag FILL LEFT effect on your audio if you have the original audio in your left channel, or FILL RIGHT if you have your original in your right channel.

  Hi Cenk,

  Thanks for the advice, but I figured out what was wrong. I’d forgotten there was a tiny piece of recorded footage at the end that didn’t make use of the radio mic and was properly recorded in stereo, therefore the clip made use of both stereo and mono and therefore couldn’t be changed. I just did some selective capturing to remedy the situation. Thanks again.
