March 14, 2006 at 3:22 pmI don’t have AE in front of me at the moment but until someone else posts I do have a suggestion. Use Fractal Noise (in a precomp) and set the vertical scale higher than the horizontal. I’d be able to come up with a better recipe for you, but I don’t have AE on this machine.
My system is still down in protection from the tornadoes Sunday night.

March 14, 2006 at 8:24 pmThe displacement map in this project is in need of a bit (or a lot) of tweaking depending on how you want your flag to wave.
