have to scale 91% to fit on tv
hi all
i have a problem (sens for ever) witvh is realy a pain in the ass
the problem is that i have to scale all my sequense TL’s to 91% so they fit within the video action safe area otherwise they apear larger than the tv, i mean the video is like a few cm’s of each side is missingi have testet 5 difrent brand’s of tv and dvd’s with no luck
also tested many difrent weys to export but also no luck
thing is that i dont minde to make that finale tach (scale to 91%)
but once i do thet tl becoms red as if i added a efect or somthingi work in europ so i go with the pal preset is there somthing iam mising?

The problem began with the camera operator failing to frame the shot so as not to have anything important near the edge of the screen. Most TVs will cut off at least 5% of resolution.
Get a new cameraman. -
i blive its nothing like that ccoz i have changed like 5 cameramans.

Hi Xaris,
I saw in your other posting that you are referring to STILL images with the cropping issue, correct? Are these stills computer screen grabs or Power Point frames or something? I would guess that is the reason you must scale them down to fit in video safe area. Am I on the right track?
Otherwise there should not be a reason to shrink them, in all the history of TV, the edges have been cut off and subject is not normally on the edge of the image so this is irrelevant

unfortenntly this is hapening in both clean jpeg’s shot with nikon d80
and video pal sp mode shot by sony minidv camthnks for responding Xaris
