  AVCHD & CS4 – need computer configuration recommendations

  I am an amateur user and was very happy with PP/CS2, until I decided to adopt the HVCSD format (SONY SR12) and upgraded to PP CS4. I have read a lot of posts about the problems with CS4 vs. AVCHD. I am in the same boat and have the same problems with timeline playback. I decided to purchase a new, higher powered computer (Dell or HP). I would like to ask for hardware configuration recommendations for my new machine to cost in the range of $2,000 – $2,500.
