I have some footage shot on a Sony HDR-HC9 that I am trying to import into a 2.0 system in an HD project. The video is not previewing correctly in the video capture tool, it is green and distorted. Is there some updated drivers available that could possibly not be on this machine? Thanks for the help!

I don’t recall if 2.0 had direct HDV support, it’s possible it won’t work. A PPro CS3 upgrade purchased now also includes free update to CS4 later, may be time to look ahead

Make sure that in camera menu, “i.Link convert” if OFF. By default, HDV cameras will want to downconvert HDV to DV output and if that is happening, no capture image when in an HD project.

Also, best to connect and power up camera before starting Premiere, helps that camera is properly initialized with Windows so Premiere sees it properly as an HDV device

Thank you for both of your posts. I am getting ready to upgrade but I will try the other things as well. Hopefully I can get even more use out of this system. The longer the wait the better the new hardware to go with the all new CS4.
