This makes my last issue look like a walk in the park.

Corrupted Project using Matrox Axio and Adobe Premiere Pro!!!!

This makes my last issue look like a walk in the park. I was working all day on this project and shut down my program Adobe Premiere CS3 to do some other work. When I came back to editing I opened Adobe and found that one of my 2 timelines was not in the timeline panel.
Most importantly my multi cam edit nested sequence with all my edits!!! I could see it when in my project panel but when I double click on it, it will not open in the timeline. Instead it goes straight to my program monitor where I can see all my edits and titles but it does me no good because I can’t work on it any further.
I went into my auto save folder and all projects throughout the day all have the same issue.

I talked to adobe support and all they could tell me to do is to open up old auto saved projects and hope that one worked!!!

I was eventually able to open both timelines in one of my projects by making a duplicate of it in the project panel and opening the dupes in the timeline by double clicking on them but when I closed and opened the project again they were GONE!!!

After going through this process again I finally have both timelines open in the timeline panel and am rendering my project so that I can export it to AVI so that I can save whatever I have.

I’m afraid to turn off my computer because I might lose the entire project.
I’m using Matrox Axio LE with Adobe Premiere Pro.

If the project is corrupted I believe there is a way to open this project in a new project by importing in the folder. Even if I knew how I don’t know if it would help.

    This is an EMERGENCY!!!!
    Can anyone offer any help?

    Hey Joe,

Axio will probably be causing some problem here. I have never heard of this issue in Adobe only projects.
To import the corrupted project start a new project using the presets panel that match the corrupted one’s.
Import…find the project file of the corrupted one, that’s it. It should import the entire project, all the files/sequenes and anything you’ve done to them.
This will all be in a folder which is named the same as the imported project file. Inside this folder is all the media and the sequences. Find the sequences you need and double click them. They should open up tabbed in the timemline panel.

PS: If there is still a problem do the same import with the autosave project files to see if they come in with all your sequences (esp. the mutlicam sequences).

How many editors does it take to change a light bulb?

Ok, I was able to get one of the versions of my project open that had both timelines on it. I saved it last night and opened it this morning and it still has both timelines.
After opening and closing it three times and not losing any timelines I think this version is ok.
I also saved a copy of it from the file menu as a backup just in case.

I’ve never used an xml wrench before is it a good solution or just a last chance effort to save a corrupt project?

[Joe Bandy] “or just a last chance effort to save a corrupt project?”

For most people it would be a last ditch effort.

    Cheers
