Help – Replacing black video with an Image on frame 1
Hello all,
When I render my final video (FLV or WMV etc), I would like to have a static image show instead of black video at the start. Similar to YouTube, Yahoo, Google video: when I post a video up on a website, then bring up that web page, I would like frame 1 to be a logo or title or whatever…just not black video. I’ve done it before however, it must have been by accident because I haven’t been able to recreate it since.
I thought I may have done this animating a graphic in AE, exporting the movie and using it as my first clip in Premiere. Tryied it again and that didn’t work either. This has to be something simple but I’m just not seeing or finding the answers.

Move your work area 1 frame past the first frame.

Hi Vince,
Thank you for the quick response! I moved the work area one frame to the right on the timeline, re-rendered and still have the same issue. Then I started fresh using a still image (JPEG) and video to follow. I started on frame 2 with the same result. Out of curiosity, I did a “Ripple Delete” in frame 1 and still have the same issue. I tried it in Premiere ver.Pro 1.5 & CS3. I’m thinking I misunderstood your direction?

I think you got it right. You’re not fading in right ?
That’s unless something changed in the flash updates. I now use Flowplayer (free). It allows you to put a static image on top of the video with a play button.

Correct…no effects of any kind. I’ll work with “Flow Control” for now and thank you for the assist!!
