Widescreen renders are Sqashed when played in quicktime
I’m having some issues when rendering widescreen 16×9 (1.2) videos. Whether I render AVI’s or MOV’s from premiere pro CS3 they play squashed in regular players such as quicktime and VLC, but when I import them to an editor like final cut or premiere or after effects, it’s the right aspect ratio. I’ve tried rendering them square pixel but it looks bad and has a green line on the bottom of the video. The regular widescreen looks great! except for the fact players squash it.
Basically, How do I render a 720×480 widescreen video that plays widescreen on regular media players and not squished. I think it has something to do with the pixel aspect ration but I don’t know what setting to choose.
I’m on a PC
using the production premium studio CS3
Premiere pro specifically
