  Codec/Container Advice

  I just recently started using Adobe Premiere Pro 3, and captured footage from a Sony HVRA1U at 1080i HDV. The complete footage, after some editing is about 25 minutes and is destined for a regular DVD. After many attempts to export this footage, the only codec/container combination that would work was Sorenson Media (I have Sorenson Squeeze) in a .mov container. Was this correct codec and container? I attempted to use just about every combination possible and none of them would work, and Premiere would give me an error message about 10 to 50% into the export. I read that there is an MPEG-3 (maybe 2) codec that was supposed to be great for DVD but I did not see that as a choice for export. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciate it.

  Use Adobe Media Encoder and transcode using MPEG2-DVD.
