April 12, 2008 at 8:59 pmSilly (but necessary) questions..
Did you install anything recently?
How about un-install?
Make any changes to your system?
Defragged your drives lately?
Checked your drives for errors (scan-disc)?
I’m guessing that you have Visual Studio installed – is that true?
Of course if you have a system restore you could restore to a point where this wasn’t happening..

April 13, 2008 at 3:09 amHmm.. I had a feeling you’d say that you didn’t install anything..
Can you post the exact error message – might help to figure this out..
Sorry I’m not more help yet..

April 13, 2008 at 3:01 pmMicrosoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime error!
Program: …iles\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Pro CS3\ Adobe Premiere Pro.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way. Please contact application’s support team for more information.
it usually crashes after i edit something in after effects and it goes to conform the video file to show the effect

April 14, 2008 at 12:23 amDefrag and scandisk usually do not fix crashes…
But your files might be malformed. Try editing the same way, but with another file. Damaged footage files make Adobe apps crash all the time (Bridge especially).
Please tell us if this works.

April 16, 2008 at 6:34 amHave you googled the error?
The whole reason I asked about the scandisk / defrag was because recently (in the last month and a half) I had not one but two instances (different computers) that had problems – one with a printer and another with some of my own VB software. I ran a scandisk which reported that it found and fixed a lot of errors. Low and behold, after it was done, it worked normally again.. Too bad you weren’t as lucky.
Sorry man, but other than googling this or contacting Adobe Support (for however many bucks an hour they charge) I’m out of suggestions..
Ok, well, one more series of questions.. Is this only when you use Dynamic link? Or does it happen when you have both programs opened with unrelated projects in each?)
Did you try to go to the Uninstall / Change / Repair control panel?
Good luck

August 9, 2009 at 1:10 pmopen a new sequence. copy all the clips from old sequence and paste to the new sequence. make sure all the clips are copied, then delete the old sequence and start working on the new one. should solve the problem.
