I just recently bought a Canon HV20 so I am very new to how it works. I’ve used PP2.0 for over two years now and I know how to use it fairly well. My problem is as follows: I tried capturing some footage from the camcorder shot at 24fps and it would come up with the error “Can’t actiavte recorder; try resetting camera” SO i opened a new project in HD under the second option I think. I went to capture it again and it worked this time. So I’m like yay, right? Noooo. The clip in the source list in PP has this amber colored screen that says “media Pending” in about 6 different languages and at the bottom right, it says “indexing hahaha03.mpeg”. I waited about 30 minutes and it still hasn’t worked. I tried looking at the actual video in WMP and it came out all skippy in the audio and video and it played slowoly on the timeline as if the program wasn’t running correctly. What am I doing wrong/ what settings do I need to change? I am not very smart with the camcorder/PP lingo so you might have to talk to me as though I am an idiot haha. Thanks.

My brother had this same issue with HDV footage at 24p.

The screen you mentioned (with the 6 languages) is a temp (pending) page while premiere is rendering out the MPEG2 stream (similar to how you cant play audio smoothly until the audio conform is done)

Eternity…don’t miss it for the world.

So does this mean I have to wait for it? Cause I waited for about mmmmmm 2 hours and it STILL wasn’t done.
