  bad file name, capture method

  Starting a big project. 20 hours of raw footage. Bought a 500G external hard drive to hold the files. Captured the first 1.75 hours to the G drive. The files are there, but now Premier Pro 1.5 cannot find them. Sez “G:/Adobe Premier Pro Files/12-21-07/1221 01.avi is an “invalid file name”.

  BTW, videographer shot the footage on a Panasonic whatever (3-chip, medium high-end camcorder), and I am capturing the tapes from my Canon Vistura. Is that a problem?

  Slashes are not allowed (by Windows) as part of a file name. Replace with an underscore.
