Editing mode? Desktop mode? What the heck !
Hi,
I am in desperate need of some help. I edited a project in Adobe Premier Pro 2.0 and was almost done until I begun having a lot of memory problems, adobe shutting down, etc.
The footage was shot in 1080i with a Sony Fx1. Being the smart person that I am I decided to clean my PC (I figured all the files are on an external, so no harm done right? I will just reinstall a fresh new copy of windows XP thinking it would aid my memory problems with adobe…wrong!)
To make a long story short, I have reinstalled Windows XP and Adobe Premier Pro 2.0 but now when I try to open my previous project file I get the message “the editing mode used by this project could not be loaded. The project will be opened in Destop mode.” I click OK and all my files are off line. When I try to reconnect the movie files I get the following error message “Unsupported format or damaged file.” However, I can play the clip on windows media.
I have been reading many different post and I get the feeling it might have something to do with the way I captured the clips since they are HDV? Maybe there is an update for Adobe Premier Pro 2.0 for this matter?
Anyone please?
