  Premier Pro freezes when loading at “Loading encwiz.dll…”

  I have Premier Pro CS3 installed on a Qosmio F20 with 1GB RAM upgrade running Windows XP Media Centre edition.

  Whenever I try to run Premier, the purple loading screen comes up and then freezes at “loading encwiz.dll”

  I have similar issues with Soundbooth and AfterEffects however all the other programs in the Master Suite work and The old CS2 ones too, including Premier Pro 1.5!

  Anyone have any ideas/suggestions?

  A Google search indicates the file is either part of Nero (Video encoding) or Malware. Kill it either way (uninstall Nero).
