I’d like to know whether there’s a way to change the names of the blessed folders that Premiere creates: “Media Chache Files”, “Preiew Files”, “Encoded Files”, etc. It would be nice if I could put an underscore before the names, so they wouldn’t get mixed in with the other folders that I create within the project’s folder.

Goto Preferences->Scratch Disks, use the custom settings to put them where you want and what folder heading you want them under.

That doesn’t help much, because then I’d have to change it for every project I create, and “scratch disks” doesn’t allow me change the name of the folders. What would be great is if I could make Premiere put all of it’s crap into one “Render Files” folder for every project. I think Final Cut does this.

If you make for each project a folder for project file and media files I don’t see your problem with the blessed folders.
