way to revise project settings or import export?
I’m not exactly versed in the ways of APP2, but I’m slowly learning…
I have a 4:3 720×480 project with many A/V clips and tracks that I would like to convert to 16:9 720p. I’ve tried to export the project as AAF, but many effects I have implemented will not transfer. There has to be a way I can import or export this project into a HD file configuration…
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Why are you looking to upscale the video?

I have recently upgraded my projection system in my simulation rides to HD and would like to use a few of my older videos with the new equipment. I tried exporting the original 4:3 as an uncompressed avi and then importing it into a new 16:9 project to output as an mpeg2, but there was noticeable loss of quality.

That is to be expected. You increase resolution by at least 50% where there is no information to start with, then on the result you are compressing to MPEG and throwing away 90% of the information.

Well I found a solution – I was able to “select all” of the items in my sequence and copy them (with the project files automatically selected). I then simply created a new project with the HD settings I desired, and pasted the elements into the new sequence. I really didn’t think this would work – but everything imported without a hitch! I then resized every clip of video to fit the new 16:9 ratio and output to mpeg2 with much better quality than the re compressing an avi.
