I get the message “Insufficient disc space for burning” when I try to burn a DVD in PP 2.0.
The timeline is 70 min. long.
    I am specifying – NTSC DV 16:9 High Quality7MB CBR 1 Pass
    Quality 5.0
How can I fit the movie on the disc?

The three HD associated with the project are
C: – PP program resides here. Available space 445 GB
H: – My project assets are stored here. Available space 100 GB
I: – Media, Preview, Scratch disks and the project file. Available space 223 GB

Try with a slightly slower bitrate, like 6.5Mb

You want to specify DVD-video, not DV, if you are trying to make a “playback” DVD. That will use MPEG encoding.

Well, 70 minutes does not fit well at 7Mb using CBR.

Try 2 pass VBR with a bottom end at 5Mb and the target at 6.5 with a max of 7. That ought to get you closer.

There are bit rate calculators online to help you. Like this one: https://www.videohelp.com/calc.htm

another possibility is to export it into Encore, which should automatically figure out the maximum bit rate when you go to burn it to disc.
