Just updated MB,Proc (Intel Duo), mem, vid card, drives. On opening PP 1.5 it asks for re-authentication which I expected but then it totally hangs.

I saw something in an earlier post about 1.5 not running on this type of processor.

Has this been confirmed? I would appreciate any info before I drive myself crazy with re-installing drivers/programs…etc.

    Thanks,

Replacing a MB (with a different model) and not reinstalling Windows is a recipe for frustration.

Yes…it was a stop gap measure when my mb died. Had to replace a number of things at that point. Wanted to get my files in order before a format.

I had been hoping to do Vista a that point along with an Adobe upgrade.

Is there a Vista consensus here?

I am speaking for myself here. Forget it. It takes about five times the disk space, it requires about double the RAM, it has insufficient driver support, it has less performance than XP, it is full of so called security measures which make life much harder, it is convoluted with DRM issues, so overall stay away from Vista, at least till SP1 is out and debugged.
