I applied auto color to about an hour’s worth of footage. It took 1 1/2 hours to render. However, after it rendered and I tried to play it back, the color of the video flashes between the non-corrected and the corrected. I tried exporting the piece as a movie and playing it in a different project, but the same thing is happening there. Any suggestions or solutions?

    Thanks,

I would not recommend using Auto Color, because it doesn’t always work.

    Coming to your problem:
    a) What type of footage are you using? DV? HDV?
    b) Project settings?
    c) Computer specs?

    Thanks for responding.

I’m using DV footage. I’m not sure what more info. you want, but my project settings are at non-drop frame, 48Kh, I have a Dell Latitude D800 single processor.

Perhaps I’ll just adjust the colors manually?

I prefer the Fast Color Corrector.

Thanks. Before your response, I went ahead and tried the Color Balance feature. It took many hours to render, but at least it worked and it plays back without flickering. I’ll try the Color Correction next time.

    Thanks much,
