Why does premiere pro double render?
When you nest rendered sequences into a new sequence, Premiere Pro needs again to render the new nesting sequence. Why can’t premiere use the already rendered information from the rendered sequences?

I’d like to take this question one step further… If the answer is YES, this will be a HUGE time saver for me!
I tried a test… I took a clip and put it into sequence01. I did NOT render it. Then I nested the UNrendered clip into sequence02 and rendered the nesting sequence.
What happens is, sequence02 gets rendered and sequence01 doesn’t! So my question is, if I am anyways only going to export the nesting sequence at the end (the nesting sequence will have all my other sequences in it) Is it enough to just render the final nesting sequence and export it? What I’ve been doing until now is first rendering each sequence and THEN rendering again the nesting sequence that has all these other sequences.

Yes.

Rendering the timeline has nothing to do with exporting. It is simply an option to give you a real preview.
