My footage was shot interlaced. When I export via premiere pro, I don’t choose deinterlace but fields because I understand that to broadcast it to TV, the TV needs the interlaced fields. SO on the computer you will see the interlace artifact but it will be smooth on TV.

The problem is that also on the TV I see it with the interlaced lines! So should I be deinterlacing for TV?

CRT TV is interlaced. Keep it interlaced.
LCD and Plasma TV’s are progressive. De-interlace.
