  DVCPro 50 workflow

  I have shot some footage in DVCPro 50. I pulled it into FCP (not my preferred NLE, because I don’t know it well enough). I made rough cuts and output a uncompressed SD .mov. I opened Premier Pro and only see DV project settings.

  What are the project settings I should use when editing SD 29.97fps interlaced, uncompressed MOV with what I assume is a better 4:2:2 profile than that of DV.

  How could I do a offline edit in Premier and switch to a new project and my uncompressed footage for a online render, bringing all of my cuts over? Can I bring over all of my edit changes?

  Unfortunately, there really isn’t a really good answer here. Premiere won’t accept the files because they aren’t supported, just like FCP won’t accept DV AVI. Was the export QT animation?

  Do you need to do it offline? The only reason I ask the question is because, offline to online maybe a problem.

  Secondly, you can create custom projects in Premiere Pro. I did this demo a while back, but you can use it and customize it for your own situation:
