  Want to build an editing system on a budget

  Can anyone give there 2 cents as to what components are the best for a do it yourself system with a budget of around 4000.00

  I paid about that for my system, but it would be less expensive now.

  Please note that I didn’t buy monitors, so that would have added to the price considerably. But you can get two decent monitors for under $600.
