I was wondering if it is possible to create your own DVD templates for use in Premiere Pro 2?

For example what if I just want a simple black background with white arial text for a custom template.

If it is possible how should I go about doing it?

    Thanks

Sure! Use the titler to create your background, but remember Premiere’s DVD layout will include at least 2 subpictures (buttons) and a menu title by default, although they can be moved and resized.
Put your title temporarily in a empty spot in a sequence and export a bitmap of it then delete the title from the sequence.
Then in the DVD layout mode, choose any template and select the Main Menu and go to the Effects controls palette. Under “Menu Background” you can browse to your bitmap and replace the existing backround.

    Cool!

Now I can have the background that I want! Thanks.

The only other thing that I would like to do is change the button styles to just plain text with no effects or backgrounds.

Is there a way to take away bevel effects or button styles?

Can I create my own templates in Encore and import them into the DVD menu library?

    Hi there,

Could anyone tell me what the exact path and structure is of the DVD templates in Premiere Pro 2 ????

It must be something of C:\Program Files\Adobe\Premiere Pro2\…. and what follows I am missing.

    Kind regards,

    Frans
