sound but no video
Hi, I’m hopping someone might be able to help me with a problem i’m experiencing with Adobe Pro.
After importing a video it will play in the little test box in the top left side of the screen but when I drag and drop this to the timeline and play it through the sequence 01 box, at the top right of the screen, there is no picture, just sound. With some of my imports I will also get the video in the sequence 01 box but have no sound. However the video and sound are both present in the monitor box next to this one. Hope I’ve made some sense! Can you suggest anything?

You probably downloaded the video from the internet. Try capturing video from a MiniDV camera and see if that works better for you. There are some formats that are just not suited for editing. If you did capture it from a camera, tell us about the camera model and we might be able to help.

I guess there is also the possibility that you are sending the audio to firewire. That wouldn’t be a default behavior however.
