  • Aspect ratio problems when going from Premiere to Quicktime

    Hello everyone,

I am preparing the monthly podcast for our charity called OneWorldTV. Its the first one that has been filmed on DVCAM in 16:9. I have exported the final cut and then brought it into quicktime so that i can export to .m4v format, so that it can then be fed through i-tunes for ipod format.

The only problem is when i try and play the outputted avi from Premiere, quicktime does not keep the aspect ratio. It squashes it to 4:3, highly annoying. I have tried exporting out as a .mov file and it still squashes the footage.

Does anyone know of any way to stop this happening, I really need it to preserve the aspect ratio.

    Many thanks in advance,

    Jamie

    Hi everyone

I think i figured it out. If i export as square pixels but still with 16:9 ratio everything seems to be fine.

    Thanks anyway.
