    Greetings All,

I’m not sure if I’ll ever find a solution, or even a reason for the problem I’m experiencing. I am running Premier Pro using a GeForce FX video card, NVidia or something to that effect. I’ve got projects I’ve been working on in Premier that were both imported from DVDs and captured directly into the project via firewire. My problem involves playing back or reviewing my project in the timeline. My monitor powers off and then on (while my project is playing) and then when my screen re-appears, my video disappears. and there is a black or sometimes blue line in my timeline. (The line appears wherever my monitor restarts). My audio is not affected, and all of my settings appear to be the same…I just lose my video. I’ve downloaded the latest drivers for my v-card, adjusted the monitor settings and I still keep having this problem. I am desperate to complete this project for a friend, and I am slowly letting him down. I’m not an expert by any means, but I’ve used Adobe products for projects in college. Does anyone have a clue what I can do? Thanks to everyone who has already responded to my posts and attempted to help me. But for some reason, nothing is working.

Is the monitor powering off (light on the front goes off) or is the monitor screen going black?? Do you have 2 monitors (identical) connected to your PC?
Do you have an external monitor (TV) connected?
I suspect a faulty video card.
