I have Adobe PP 1.5 and tried to import my mini DVD. The video came through, but sound didn’t. I believe it said no AVI support. Will Adobe 2.0 solve this problem?

Mini DVD? Premiere Pro doesn’t import DVD files. Premiere elements is perhaps the better option for you.

    Thanks for the reply Aanarav:

I was able to import the miniDVD into Adobe PP 1.5, but I can remember how I did it. I used Roxio Easy Media Creator 7. The video opened into Adobe PP 1.5 video editor area, but the sound line didn’t make it. I will do it again and let you know how, if you need this information. What format can one change a miniDVD to so it will work?

What good is a video camera that uses miniDVD’s if it won’t work with a video editor? Won’t Adobe PP 2.0 solve this problem?

Problem is DVDcams are basically consumer orientated, so entry level software handles the format better, Ppro2 handles Mpeg2 files better than previous versions as it works with HDV, but since Mpeg is a export format for me I haven’t tried it.
