  Rendering and the Hard Drive

  I set up 2 200 Gig drives as a RAID drive for video. Working with several hours of footage for my current project, the drive is pretty full.
  As I render pieces down, I’ve noticed the hard drive space continues to go down…I know the rendered files need to stay…but is there some sort of clean-up or elimination that can take place?
  How risky is it to defrag those drives that are RAIDed together at this point in time?

  Rendered preview files serve only for preview or export to DV tape. If you dont need them, delete em.
  Also if you have a lot of excess footage that wont be used in the project, the Project Manager can consolidate your assests, but you will need , at least temporarily a lot of hard drive space to create this folder and then delete the original DV files.
