  Premiere Pro 2: Whats the best DVD settings?

  Hi, I have Premiere Pro 2.0 and although have been burning DVDs for a while now I have never been completely sure of exactly what setting I should have it on. Should it be on 7MB CBR or 7MB VBR???? And which field option should I use? Lower or Upper or Progressive? Thanks!!!

  The best way for me is to render to .avi, make the chapters and menu at Encore and let Encore make the best match in “auto”.

  Premiere and Encore share the same encoding engine. I export the Mpeg/wave files from Premiere to use in Encore.
  The length of your movie determines the video bitrate. Some longer movies {90+ minutes) can benefit from 2 pass VBR (Variable bitrate), but need a mix of high motion and static shots. Stick with Lower Field first for DV video.
