Any idea why my MPEG2 exports turn out as if there were a purple filter over top? Other export types (like WMV) work fine.

I’ve tried several MPEG2 settings, including the default Premiere settings, and they all turn out the same. Purple.

I have a BOXX Workstation running Premiere Pro 2.0 with an AJA Xena HS card.

    Thanks.

Can you post a screenshot of the exported MPEG2 output? Are you using any filters on the video?

Needless to say, this is not “normal”. You’re not running a trial version of an mpeg2 codec?

    I’ll do one better…

Here’s an actual MPEG2 output example of my problem. Looks like the chroma is off for some reason.

Looks fine over here bud. Looks like a player issue.

Yea, it looks like my Media Player is playing only MPEG2 files purple. All other media types are ok.

I’m not going to worry about it.

You could try upgrading to version 11.

I got my issue worked out:

It was a setting in my WMP10 player. I turned off “use overlays” in the Tools… Performance… Advanced… tab.

Don’t know what it does or why my MPEG2 files play “purple” when it’s on, but I found the workaround.
