  shiny eyeball

  I created a big eyeball for a close-up in AE, but it doesn’t have the glossy look I want for an eyeball — is there a filter that can do this? Thanks.

  I have had to recreate reflections before. The glossiness of an object is built with reflections.
  You could try bevel on the eye a bit, but it’s more likely going to be adding in white bits (or actual footage screened) to create a good glossiness.

  Glue down a ping-pong ball, shoot it, then slather it in vaseline.

  Apply difference matte between the two versions. I can’t say for sure how well that will work, but at least if you have to do it by hand you’ll know what you want it to look like.
