    Hi

I have a project in premier pro and need to convert it to an avi file with chapter markers so when i open it up in encore DVD it detects the markers.

This is what i am doing at the moment.

    – I am creating Scene markers and adding some text in the name filed.
    – Exporting as movie
    – Embedding objects as Project
    – File Type as Microsoft DV Avi

But when i import this sequence to Encore DVD it dosnt detect the markers.

Does anyone know were i am going wrong?

    Thanks

You need to create sequence markers and not DVD markers. And you need to add comments, due to a bit of a bug. With comments added, you should see the markers in Encore.

    Sequence markers?

The 3 markers i can see available in Premier Pro 2 are
    – Scene Markers
    – Main Menue Markers
    – Stop Markers

Which one of the three is the Sequence marker?

    Thanks

Those are all related to DVD markers. You can do that if you want to make a DVD in Premiere Pro. But those markers don’t get exported. So use Sequence markers. Look it up in the Help menu under “sequence marker”

    Hi

I seem to be having problems. I got rid of my chapter makers and replaced with sequence markers. But when i create an avi to import into Encore DVD no markers are shown on the timeline.

    Am i doing something wrong?

    Thanks
