    Hello All…..

Would I see any perfomance or sound quality increase
by using ASIO soundcards such as M-Audio Audiophile
    or E-mu 0404?

    I don’t do much recording.
    However in some Audio applications,
as I build a complex timeline,it get a little slow.

So now I am thinking about getting on of these cards
for my audio application and was wondering
if Premiere Pro would take advantage of them.

I am currently using on-board Realtek AC 97.
    on Dual Opteron 275s

I would very much appreciate any sugesstions

    Thank you

Premiere doesn’t use the sound card per’se to process audio except as a I/O device, the sound card doesn’t add or detract from audio imported with DV and digital audio files like WAV, MP3 etc that are used in premiere, I find on-board sound is fine for monitoring Premiere sound with some decent speakers, to do more quality work with sound itself, importing or exporting analog audio I like to use external devices that A/D convert the audio outside of the computer.
Check the drivers that came with the MoBo there maybe ASIO drivers included, if not generic ASIO drivers are available on the net.
