I am looking at purchasing a new camera. After some research on the Adobe website I find ‘Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 supports all standard and high-definition formats (some formats may require additional hardware)’.

I really want to use the Panasonic AG-HVX200E and so need support for the DVCPRO HD/P2 format. Adobe says that this format requires third party support and they leave a link to ‘find out more’, yet in following this link I can find no other information regarding this format (?) or what the support solution is.

My question is, does anyone out there currently operate PPro 2 with this camera using the DVCPRO HD/P2 format? How does the pipeline work? What are the issues?

    I have a Blackmagic DeckLink

Premiere Pro does not support the DVCProHD format directly, but you can use Raylight or Cineform codecs to create intermediary files that will work with PP.
