  No audio to monitor during preview

  Using PPro 2 and a Mini-DV deck connected by firewire, I get no audio pass-through to my monitor during timeline previews(Spacebar or Enter Key). Audio is OK to my computer speakers, and audio is transferred during both Capture and Export to Tape processes.
  Am I missing a setting, or is this normal PPro 2 behaviour?

  Use the Project drop down menu, select Project Settings->General->Playback Settings-> check the External Device Audio box.

  Thanks. Interesting that one can choose either Desktop or External Device for audio, but not both. Makes sense, I guess.
