  Capturing on a Canon GL1 with footage shot on a Canon XL2

  I have some footage shot on a Canon XL2 in the 16×9 format. the only available DV deck to capture the footage is a canon GL1. Is that possible considering the GL1 doesn’t have a native 16×9 aspect ratio and the CCD is bigger on the XL2? Will I lose a percentage of the image if its played back and captured on a GL1?

  also considering it was shot in 24p, wouldn’t the audio be out of sync even though premiere pro supports 24p and the camera doesn’t?

  Capturing is simply transfering data from the tape to PC…any dek should work.
