    Hey,

We are currently adding a simple opacity effect where we want the ‘Video 1’ track to be 100% and ‘Video 2’ to be around 50%. We have tried the most obvious thing, with changing levels but whenever changing the video 2 level to 50% it also puts video 1 to 50%. It should surely maintain its 100% opacity. The shot is static therefore this technique works normally, but for some reason will not work here. We want the video 2 to fade in and out of video 1. Its a woman dancing on video 1 and a guy wandering around the same shot on video 2. What is going on? Is there anyway we can fix this problem

    Any help greatly appreciated!

    Hi…

is the element on V2 Keyed or does it have an alpha channel?

Or are both clips full screen with no Alpha.

If this is the case, lowering the opacity of V2 will only make V1 partially visible and even if it’s the same shot, it will look semi opaque in the differnece areas.

Can you invert the video tracks? (track 1 switched to 2)I’m not sure but sometimes work.
