Some, not all of my AE effects look awful when imorted into Express Pro. They are beautiful in AE. I have a composition with lots of right to left movement in it and the images and graphics are almost unreadable when imported into AVID because of jittering. I read that side-to-side movements are difficult for AVID to handle. Is this correct.? If so, anyway to work around it?

I have tried every possible import/export combination- field order, frame blending, motion blur, non-interlaced import, etc, etc. Am I missing anything? These settings work great for other compositions. If it matters, I’m using all PSD files to build the comp with.

    Here are my import/export settings:

    After Effects Export:

    render settings:
    Quality – best
    resolution – full
frame blending – on for checked layers
    field render – off
    motion blur off

    output module:
Animation Codec; millions of colors; 29.97fps
    comp side – 720 x480
    spatial quality 100
    no cropping
RGB; Millions of colors: premultiplied (matted)

    AVID Import:

    Aspect Ratio: 601 non square
    Color Levels: RGB
File Field Order: Lower field first
    Alpha: ignore
    Resolution DV 25

No wonder. Why are you exporting sans fields from AE if you are working with fields in Express? Express Pro will simply double your frames to generate fields from them which of course gives stuttering movement.
