  Is it possible to import an old composition back into your current project?

  Hi guys am asking if there is a way to import an after effects composition into the current object.
  i just don’t want to re-do all the work i did in the old project but i need this one composition from an old project.

  Just import the entire old project into the new one and then delete all the redundant comps.

  to be clear, when you go to import files like images, one of the file formats is AEP (After Effects Projects) – it will import the entire project as a folder which includes any comps, artwork, video, audio…etc.

  Making alterations to these compositions, does not effect the original file, but any alterations to source footage (like if you edit in in photoshop) will effect the other AEP’s the arefference th same files.
