A website is offering OEM versions of a lot of different software, is it legal what they are doing?

No way that is OK.
I have seen other deals for hundreds of dollars less than retail, and you can register with Adobe, now that’s real.
This looks and smells totally crooked. You get a CD and you can’t register it with Adobe.

As you may, or may not know, OEM software is legitimate software modified to be sold, most often WITH a relevant hardware package. Sometimes the documentation stripped, sometimes it is the outer box, but if it does not come with the other elements that it was designed to by the manufacturer of the software, its illegal. There are exceptions to this general truth in rare cases, such as downloadable intallers and so on, but for the general term OEM, its a strech to find anything redeeming in their offer.

It’s just a way to get credit card information from naive people who are dumb enough to think that they can get something for nothing. If they would rip off Adobe, then what makes you think that they would have any conscience about ripping you off??? Most are set up in countries where you would have absolutely no right of recourse whatsoever.
