  Capture Issues with 1.5

  I know this has been broached before and I am going to post this in the Premiere Forum as well but I have never seen or found a definitive answer on this and I am still having Timecode sync issues with my Beta Deck when capturing.

  Here is the setup:

  1. Pulling Footage from a Beta Deck
  2. Using a DA-MAX+.
  3. Canopus DV Storm 2 Card
  4. Using a Patch Panel to connect the Beta Deck (UVW-1800) to the DA-Max+

  The issue is this:

  The timecode in my capture window is anywhere between 3-5 seconds off of what the Beta Deck is showing. (It is different everyday, sometimes there is no discrepency). So when I mark an in it will be at the time in the capture window. Once I try to capture the clip the Capture Window and Beta Deck then sync up. So the problem is now it starts recording 3-5 seconds later than I actually marked in at.

  Has anyone seen this problem and found a solution to it. It is extemely annoying.

  Also, just and FYI but we have a sync generator and it doesn’t help with this issue.
