  • mask not tracking properly on flipping coin comp

    hello,
I’ve created a composition of a coin flipping thru the air- towards camera- then falling away. In order to create the illusion of depth- I’ve created a striped solid- which I am masking, frame by frame, creating the edge of the coin as it moves thru the air and flips.
    Two things have gone wrong-
    1. As the coin flips on it’s axis- the writing on the coin is reversed- something I can live with for now- but I would ultimately like to fix this.
    2. More importantly- for some reason- in my comp window the masking is tracking perfectly- but upon rendering- the mask is lagging- and mis-shaped.
    I’m completely stumped.
    Using 6.5 pro on PC.

    Thanks in adance.

    Thank you for quick reply.

Rendering to fields? I’m sorry- I don’t know about that- I usually just go thru and click off the quality, compression stuff- where do I find that?

I see in the render que- for fields- upper lower or none- I just tried all of them – no difference. I usually have it default to none.
And BTW- I have taken a still of the coin (JPEG) and that’s what I am animating.

fields rendering is located in the Render Settings section of the Render Queue window. If you don’t know what they are it’s probably not the problem. Can you email me the file and I can take a look.
