  Fickering Composition

  Hey all,

  I just designed a pretty basic Comp in AE to use as a motion background in Encore for a DVD. The AE comp consisted of a series of images (scaled down to about 50%) moving from left to right over a BG. When I put the Comp into Encore and burn the DVD, the pictures are very very jittery when they move across the screen. I tried turning up the “frame blending” to 3 in AE and burned again, but it didn’t make a difference. I don’t think deinterlacing the comp will make a difference either since the pictures are moving left to right instead of top to bottom or bottom to top. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong and how I can fix it?

  You may have your fields reversed. Either in the AE output or in whatever program compressed your files to mp2, reverse the field order and give that a try.

  If they are reveresed, it will stutter like walking 2 steps forward 1 step back.
