iPOD video from timeline
Sorry to bring up a subject other then the features or lack of in 2.0, but we recently started outputing video formatted for video iPODS for 1 of our clients. I have made a preset in cleaner 1.5 which works great but in some cases it would be nice to render to this format from the PPro timeline.
I can set up the H.264 settings no problem but there is no option for the AAC audio encoder. Anyone Know why?
I know I could use the H.263 encoder but the quality just doesn’t compare. I do have Quictime 7.03 Pro installed. -

The AAC audio encoder is not available in the Adobe Media Encoder using QUicktime nor in the Export Movie dialog using Quicktime. I suspect it might be an encoder that apple retains for its own source apps.

don’t you need QT 7 to make ipod video? With PPro 1.5 I export an AVI and use Sorenson Squuze to make m4v files for ipod, or you can use QT Pro but it is mud slow.

You can make iPod video with MPEG 4 files. In fact, i have found those to be a lot better when compressing to a small size and wanted the full screen playback to look reasonable.
