Analog Deck control in Pro
Posted by Rgm123 on January 17, 2006 at 7:26 pmDoes Premier Pro have built-in deck control for a BetaSP Deck built in? Is it really Pro then? I know about Pipeline Pro VTR– too much $$$

January 17, 2006 at 7:34 pmAt my knowledge not without an interface to that deck. I use a Blackmagic Design Decklink Extreme card. Apart from being a video editing card, it includes an RS-422 interface that allows remote control of Beta SP, Digibeta and any other type of deck that supports this protocol. Natively Premiere can control decks thru Firewire.

January 17, 2006 at 7:40 pmProVTR was integrated with 2.0 for this version, so you do not have to buy the plug in, however you do need a compatible cable (adenda, rosetta, or Pipeline digital).
