Does Premier Pro have built-in deck control for a BetaSP Deck built in? Is it really Pro then? I know about Pipeline Pro VTR– too much $$$

Yes, they added RS-422 machine control.
    I’m happy!!

At my knowledge not without an interface to that deck. I use a Blackmagic Design Decklink Extreme card. Apart from being a video editing card, it includes an RS-422 interface that allows remote control of Beta SP, Digibeta and any other type of deck that supports this protocol. Natively Premiere can control decks thru Firewire.

ProVTR was integrated with 2.0 for this version, so you do not have to buy the plug in, however you do need a compatible cable (adenda, rosetta, or Pipeline digital).
